Learn how to exchange your tickets and find answers to common questions.
We know plans change. That’s why DCPA offers flexible ticket exchanges — online or through our knowledgeable customer service team.
Tickets can be exchanged up to 24 hours before your performance time:
- You may only exchange tickets to a different date of the same show.
- If your new performance date costs more than your original ticket, you’ll pay the difference. If you exchange for a lower-priced seat, an exchange adjustment may apply, as partial refunds aren’t available.
- Exchanges are free for DCPA Subscribers; all other exchanges are $8 per ticket.

HOW TO EXCHANGE YOUR TICKETS ONLINE
1. Log in and select the performance you wish to exchange
If a performance does not appear, it could be because:
- It’s a 2026/27 subscription package ticket. Subscribers will be notified as soon as seats and dates are ready for exchange (usually mid-summer)
- It’s a Power Pass or Designer Series subscription ticket, or a Group Sales purchase
- It is part of a partially unpaid subscription or seats have not been assigned
- Select performances, other ticket types, and special promotions may be unavailable for exchange
- The show is within 24 hours
2. Select the tickets to exchange when the popup appears
- Select each ticket you wish to exchange. You may choose to exchange some or all your tickets for a performance.
- Look closely at your ticket type (this is the description associated with the ticket price. For example, “Standard,” “Broadway Subscriber,” or “Subscriber Extra”.) Tickets with different ticket types need to be exchanged separately.
- Pay attention to your seating section (this is the description associated with your specific seat location. For example, “Price Level 2” or “Golden Circle”). Tickets in different seating sections may be exchanged at the same time as long as the tickets are the same ticket type.

- Important: be sure to select the same number of new seats as the number you selected to exchange. If you wish to purchase additional tickets, that must be done in a second, separate transaction.
- If comparable seating on your new date is available in your seating section, it will be displayed. Alternatively, you may be able to move to a different seating section on a space-available basis. Both options may incur additional cost.
5. Shopping Cart
This screen displays all details of your online exchange including the tickets you wish to exchange and the new performance date, seating locations, and cost.
If you need to exchange tickets to multiple shows, you must go through the online exchange process for each show and/or date separately. Or call a Box Office team member who can assist with multiple exchanges at 303.893.4100.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why can’t I exchange tickets online within my digital DCPA Ticket Wallet?
Online ticket exchanges are facilitated through our primary ticketing system, rather than in our Digital Tickets Wallet delivery system. Please login to your DCPA account to start an exchange.
Why can’t my guests with whom I’ve shared tickets facilitate an exchange?
Exchanges are limited to the original ticket purchaser as a safety precaution and to curb fraudulent practices in the secondary ticket market.
To exchange tickets that have been shared with a guest: The purchaser must login to their DCPA account, exchange tickets, and then re-share the tickets with guests via DCPA Ticket Wallet. Tickets will not be able to be shared until the Digital Ticket Wallet refreshes, which takes at least 15 minutes.
If my new tickets are less expensive, why don’t I get a refund?
In accordance with the DCPA’s Terms & Conditions, refunds are not available. If you can no longer attend a performance, please consider donating your tickets.
If my new tickets are more expensive, why do I have to pay the difference?
Prices may have increased since the time of your original purchase, or you may have selected a more popular date and time. If you feel you may have to change your performance date, we encourage you to do so early to get the best seats and prices.
Why can’t I exchange all my tickets for the same performance at the same time online?
If you purchased tickets with different ticket types (for example “Broadway Subscriber” tickets are a different ticket type than “Subscriber Extra” tickets), they will need to be exchanged separately.

Why aren’t the tickets for my upcoming performance available on the online exchange page?
If a performance does not appear, it could be because:
- It’s a 2026/27 subscription package ticket. Subscribers will be notified as soon as seats and dates are ready for exchange (usually mid-summer)
- It’s a Power Pass or Designer Series subscription ticket, or a Group Sales purchase
- It is part of a partially unpaid subscription or seats have not been assigned
- Select performances, other ticket types and special promotions may be unavailable for exchange
- The show is within 24 hours
Exchanges are at the discretion of DCPA Ticket Services, subject to availability, and may result in an increased ticket price. Other restrictions may apply, including limitations around select titles and performances, ticket types, special promotional, and seasonal offers. There are no exchanges for group sales tickets.
