Olive & Finch Offers Fine-Casual Dining for Arts Patrons

For several years, DCPA patrons have had their eye on a vacant space at the corner of 14th & Curtis. You know the one. That spot that’s been under construction. The one that you can just picture as a convenient, sophisticated restaurant featuring perfectly prepared quick bites, craft cocktails, and a little something sweet to send you on your way.

Well…the big reveal is nearly here, and it is well worth the wait.

Denver’s beloved Olive & Finch is opening its fifth location at the Denver Performing Arts Complex and has come on board as the Denver Center for the Performing Arts’ newest restaurant partner.

The local, women-owned eatery got its start in 2012 and has expanded not only its restaurant locations, but also diversified with Little Finch, Finch on the Fly, and catering. According to a September 2024 article on QSR, “the company hopes to double its store footprint in the next five years while expanding On the Fly to different wholesaling opportunities nationwide.”

Three cases in point in 2025 alone: The company opened a Finch on the Fly at Denver International Airport in January, a full Olive & Finch at Denver Union Station this March, and another fine-casual eatery at the Denver Performing Arts Complex in May, the latter of which will feature seating for more than 140 plus an intimate dining room that accommodates 22 for private events. Each space can expand and spill out onto a heated outdoor patio.

While the new location will open to the public on May 6, its official ribbon cutting takes place over Memorial Day weekend. As of publication, details haven’t been nailed down, but the excitement is contagious.

Each day begins at 7am, and the Breakfast & Lunch menu features “A.M. Sammies,” hashes, tartines, salads, hot and cold sandwiches, bowls, and soups. But they also offer heartier options including Benedict Caprese, Shakshuka, Blintz Souffle, and the chef recommended Lyon Tartine and Dan Dan Noodles. My advice? Trust the chef-turned-COO, Brent Berkowitz!

For patrons who either exit a matinee before 5pm or get an early start to their evening, the happy hour menu (3-5pm daily) features an assortment of shareable appetizers plus a variety of beverages — namely Mary’s Gimlet, which is owner Mary Nguyen’s cocktail of choice.

Dinner features a wide assortment of scratch-made options that feature bespoke breads, sauces and meats. The menu includes a wide assortment of classics imbued with global influences such as Grilled Artichoke in Lemon Caper Aioli and Chile Braised Beef to a Tuna Shashimi Tostada and Bucatini.

Pair your entrée with a carefully crafted beverage when you choose from options including cold-pressed juices such as the Deeply Rooted (carrot, beet and lemon juice), caffeinated choices like the Maple Mushroom Latte and “Zero Proof” mocktails including the Kyoto (matcha, strawberry, lemon, and soda). For those looking for a little kick, fear not; Olive & Finch has an assortment of wine, beer, and cocktails.

And, whether you need a quick pick-me-up or the perfect complement to a scrumptious meal, Olive & Finch offers an assortment of fresh baked desserts and delicacies to satisfy your discerning sweet tooth.

Finally, a little bird told me, look for new full-scale Olive & Finch locations to open in the Golden Triangle and DIA Terminal C. I will sing for a song…or some more of those Dan Dan Noodles.
